Breaking the Silence
The Khmer Rouge was an unforgettable period (1975 – 1979) of sufferings and heartache for the Cambodian people. Under the communist regime at that time there were widespread famine, disease, torture and murder.
Breaking the Silence is a moving play that tells real life stories of the victims of the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. The audience will follow them through their search for reconciliation and hope. The evening will close with a dialogue with the survivors.
